Profile import
When you open a profile, OpenProfiles sends the LinkedIn URL you provided to Exa. Exa reads information it has indexed for that page and returns the facts used to build your draft. The temporary build run and its imported results expire after 24 hours.
Later, when you add a social profile yourself, OpenProfiles sends only the handle you typed to ScrapeCreators and shows you what came back. Nothing is added to your page until you approve it, and no other provider is called.

The draft becomes public only after you choose a handle and publish it. You can review and edit the Markdown that appears on the page.
Visits and product analytics
To count a profile visit, our Vercel edge turns a masked network prefix into a day-specific opaque value and signs it for the requested profile. Core receives no IP address or network prefix. It stores only separate, owner-scoped hashes derived from that verified value; the browser token does not define the visit. Product events record steps and counts, not names, emails, profile URLs, search text, or Markdown.
